Hi Julie,

Remember me from grade school? I too am living in Ramsay (with my husband and baby girl) & I'm completely shocked that I haven't run into you at one of the local spots yet. Great site, came looking for muffin recipes. Hopefully I'll say 'Hi' in person one of these days. I too frequent Cafe Rosso.

Cheers,
Stephana

One more thing about quinoa -- if you toast it in a dry skillet, it develops a gorgeous, nutty flavour that is out of this world (you still have to boil it afterwards to soften it up).

I have a question unrelated to this blog. Julie I am a big fan of Grazing and want to make large amounts of the popcorns but I was wondering what you would recommend instead of using many many bags of the microwave bags??
Thank you,

Thanks for championing the quinoa cause Julie - it's a worthy one!

Tell me more about this Ingelwood pizza of which you speak so often -- what makes it so magical?

Good tip about the bitter coating and rinsing it off. Was served a wonderful looking grainy salad with quinoa and it was too bitter to enjoy. Now I might try it myself and rinse it well.
