Croque Monsieur is my favorite! And yours looks fantastic! I went to Paris and this was my go to meal. If you want to have a really authentic Croque Monsieur (when you don't have time to make your own) in Calgary, go to L'Epicerie on 1st Street (Macleod Trail). It's right beside the Bernard Callebaut. So yummy!

If you are ever in Las Vegas, you should go to Bouchon Bistro in the Venitian Hotel. It is one of Thomas Keller's restaurants and it is absolutely fabulous. They serve Crouque Madam with pomme frites and it is wonderful. The service is impeccable, the coffee is perfect and the surroundings will make you think you are in a French Bistro, even if it is only for an hour.

The Bouchon Bakery on the main flour also has a great selection of pastries and the best ham and cheese sandwich ever, for take-out. We ate them twice in our room when we were too tired to go anywhere for dinner, once cold and once grilled like a panini, both excellent.

I loooove Croque Monsieur! My introduction to them was the Barefoot Contessa recipe. I think it's definitely a good enough reason to go to Paris. :)
