Chewy Walnut Granola Bars

Chewy Walnut Trail Bars Chewy Walnut Granola Bars

I’m a huge fan of grainy granola bars – the homemade kind, that is, which are every bit as portable as the kind that come in wrappers and boxes. Bonus: you can add whatever nuts/seeds/dried fruit you like, wrap them individually and keep them in a big jar on the countertop, and pretend your kitchen is a hip little cafĂ©.

I posted the recipe over at Family Kitchen.

Can’t wait to try these ;p

Thank you as I’m trying very hard to eat all homemade in order to get my health to 100%, my 2011 goal.

Did you know that I came across Korey Kealy at the Ottawa Sens game on Dec 26…and now she’s on my facebook :)

Have a great week my friend!

Totally making these. Trying to pack a healthy, snacky, nut-free lunch for the teacher in this household is killing me. It never occurred to me before that teachers would have to adhere to the no-nuts rule. Bah.

Hope you’re having fun in Van!

Would love to see the recipe but every time I try to open the page, my browser completely locks up and I have to exit out of all my IE windows?? Any way you can post it on here?

Well, luckily I WAS able to see the recipe (but I do have a friend that wasn’t able to see it as well), and made these a couple days ago. Very tasty!
