Homemade Nutella!

Nutella%2B1 Homemade Nutella!

Oh yes I did! Because the first two ingredients of the real stuff are sugar and modified palm oil. Not exactly the wholesome blend of hazelnuts and skim milk it professes to be. It’s easier to make than you might think. I posted the recipe over at the Family Kitchen.

Hey Julie. I love your blog, recipes and witty writing style. I’m not a foodie at all but find myself coming back to your site for the easy, creative recipes, succinct writing, and beautiful photos. I’ve also just posted this Nutella recipe on a professional writers’ forum that I belong to. Thanks for a bit of “sun” on this cloudy day.

OK… I am going out to buy hazelnuts right now (despite the fact that I am curled up in front of our fire with two puppies snoozing and who would go out into -25 weather for anything anyway ???)… and make that today (and probably eat it all before hubby gets home :-)

You must have read my mind – yesterday while making myself some toast, I was debating whether I could make my own Nutella and how that would work. What are the odds that I would find this blog entry in my RSS feed the very next morning?!
Thanks for providing the answer for me! Love the blog.

It’s always nice to be able to whip something like this up yourself! Thanks for sharing!

Glad to see a healthier version at last. I agree that the advertising is not exactly honest. My next problem will be how to make it last….. You know – portion control and all that.

Ohhh, I just wish I could have this in my house. Mister has his allergies, and I pine for nutella. I made a really good substitute that uses tahini instead of hazelnut. Not quite the same, but still very good on toast!

Yum… everytime I roast some hazelnuts to make this (or anything else) I keep eating them before I can knock the recipe out. Just the nuts are soooo yummy!
