S’mores on a Stick
How totally cute are these? I got the idea from my friend Jan, who is a party planner and blog writer and mom, and comes up with great ideas like these. Not only did I not have to turn the oven on, I made a few dozen in under five minutes. You could just go the melted chocolate route, or do a ganache – really just warmed cream into which you stir chopped chocolate or chips until it melts. Totally dippable.
These will be on the menu for W’s 6th birthday next week, which we’ll be celebrating out here in Tofino with his cousins – a sprinkle dip will take care of our gluten-free needs, and likely be a hit with the others as well.
I posted more how-to photos over at the Family Kitchen.

Mmmm looks awesome but imagine if you took a mini blow torch to these babies or used those weird toasted coconut marshmallows then they might be too good to share with kids

OMG – those sure look good. I love marshmallow anything. Hubby and I were just chatting about marshmallows the other day and how we have not had them over a campfire in waaaay too long. When I was in university I used to cook them over a burner on my stove – works the same as a camp fire. But these s’mores….yum!

Fantastic idea! Hey you could also do Rocky Road with chopped nuts in place of the graham crumbs.
I totally have to make these with the kids! Thanks Julie!

I made marshmallows dipped in a MacIntosh toffee (melted) concoction then dipped in Special K and froze them on sticks for my daughter’s birthday party-they were an absolute HIT!!!

They look delicious. Might have to try them on the visitors from Europe.
Just a quick note, I learned a while ago that most of the coloured stick sprinkles are not usually gluten free… give the manufacturer a call.

I did find a website which labels their products for dietary needs, but USA http://www.illinoisnut.com/shop/index.asp?page=16&sQuery=Gluten%20Free

Thank you so much for sharing these! My daughter’s swim lessons have a party- the last day(today) and these are perfect. We had a blast making them together and see these becoming a signature treat with my classes at middle school too!
