Christmas Punch
Guys, now I know why they call it punch. Oh my head.
Mixologist Micah Dew is here at Christmas in November from Vancouver – check him out here on Dragon’s Den! And he let me behind the bar the other night to play Tom Cruise from Cocktail – I flipped a few bottles, and only broke one (it only had lime juice in it!) and he taught us all to mix a few fancy Christmas cocktails. This one is tasty and pretty, and I like the little candy cane garnish.
Micah’s Christmas Punch
In a shaker or glass filled with ice, add:
0.5 oz. Jim Beam Red Stag bourbon
0.5 oz. rum
0.5 oz. BOLS cherry liqueur
2 oz. cranberry juiceShake vigorously for 15 seconds and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with a small candy cane.

Sounds like a Doctor Pepper! I’m in. Fond memories. It would be yummy to sip while buried under all our snow. Hope your having a great time. Make me one of these at Christmas…puleeeez.

That sounds great! I’ll be the best Christmastime hostess this year.

A few of these, plus some of those wonderful meal ideas from Swerve (Calgary Herald weekend magazine of Nov. 9/12) should make an excellent party.
Great work on both, Julie.
